It was a nice day yesterday with a high of 30 and a
little muggy. The wind also picked up, there is another low pressure moving in on Sunday.
We needed a few items from the flea market and noticed it
was busier than the last time we were there. You can see the winter Texans
really do boost the economy in this area substantially. I know Cathy and I have
done our share. We needed to pick up a few things, a new door latch for the
screen door on the coach as a little piece of something flew out on me when I
opened it yesterday and a hose to wash the coach. I am doing some repairs to
the bicycle holder I made which fastens to our trailer, so needed a can of
spray paint to touch up the welding which will be done on it in the near future.
The can of paint cost $1.50 which would be about $8.00 in Ontario and the 50
foot medium duty hose was $17.00. Just can’t believe the prices down here.
Here are some pictures of some businesses we would pass on
the way to the flea market. They do not look like much but they seem to be busy.
Everyone seems to take care of their vehicles by washing and cleaning them out
regularly. The car washes are always busy and there are quite a few with hand
washing and drying.

"Whataburger" is very popular here. |
We had happy hour at John and Catherine’s who are from
Buckhorn Lake, Ontario as it was more sheltered from the winds. We had good
discussions over our coach sensor repair, the water softeners which 4 of us
have bought and questions on where Cathy and I will be heading next.
Only 1 week left before we leave. We have been looking at
the weather for the Hill Country, the area we were thinking of heading to and it
has been quite cold there. So we are thinking of perhaps altering our route.
Still checking on what to do, but we will soon have to make a decision.
All for now.......
