Today was hot with a high of 30C and we were in it all day!
We left for Palm Desert, a community to the east of Palm Springs
to see the College of the Desert Street Fair which is held on the campus. This every
weekend event is organised by College of the Desert Alumni Association and in
total has provided over $8 million in grants, gifts, and scholarships to the
College of the Desert through the funds raised by the Fair. There is the
usual display of fair wares along with a number of vendors selling the miracle
age reduction products, energy enhancer products and items that will reduce arthritis
and joint pain. As you would imagine there is a large presence of retirees at
this event.

We spent about three hours there then stopped on the way
home to get a few groceries. We had our happy hour and then packed a few things
away as we are back on the road tomorrow - heading north.
